What we collect

Account data: name, email, and mobile number (verified by OTP) when you register or post a listing.
Listing content: property details, photos and videos you upload. These are public by design.
Location: your device location only if you allow it — used to show nearby properties. You can use the app fully by picking a location manually instead.
Usage data: which reels you view (to avoid repeating them), likes, saves and enquiries; an anonymous device identifier for visitors without accounts.
Technical data: crash and error reports so we can fix problems.
Usage analytics: privacy-safe, aggregated events about how the app is used (e.g. a sign-in happened, a search was run, a listing step was reached) plus app version and device type — used to understand and improve the product. These events carry no personal content (no names, emails, phone numbers, search text or listing descriptions).

How we use it

To run the marketplace: showing listings near you, connecting buyers with sellers (your phone number is shared with the other party only when you send an enquiry), sending OTPs and notifications you request, preventing fraud, and improving the product. We do not sell your personal data.

Who processes it

Data is stored on Amazon Web Services (Mumbai, India). We use Cloudflare (content delivery), Sentry (error reports), Google Firebase (push notifications, sign-in, and aggregated usage analytics), 2Factor.in (SMS OTPs), OpenStreetMap-based services (place search) and, when payments launch, Razorpay (payments). Each receives only what its function requires.

AI features

Who the data goes to. Some optional features are powered by the Claude AI model, which runs on Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock) — the same cloud provider that hosts the rest of Vaztu. Your text is processed inside our AWS environment; the model's maker (Anthropic) never receives it, and no other AI provider receives any Vaztu data.

Which features, and what is sent. The conversational property search ("Ask") sends the search text you type. The listing assistant, which writes or improves a description, sends the property details you entered — property type, listing type, price, area and the unit you chose, bedrooms, bathrooms, furnishing, locality, city, amenities and tags. The Instagram import, when enabled, sends the caption of the post you select. Nothing is sent until you use one of these features: they are optional, and every field they fill can be typed by hand instead.

How we collect it, and your permission. The data is the text you type into those screens; we do not gather it in the background. Before anything reaches the AI service, the app shows a consent screen naming the AI processor and listing exactly what is and is not sent, with "Agree and continue" and "Not now". Declining is honoured — the feature does not run and the rest of Vaztu is unaffected. The choice is stored per account and cleared when you sign out, so it can be withdrawn at any time by signing out or declining again.

What it is used for. Solely to return the result you asked for — parsed search filters, or draft listing copy — in that one request. It is not used for advertising, profiling or any secondary purpose.

What is never sent. Your name, email address, phone number, password, precise location, payment details, and your private messages with buyers and sellers are never sent to the AI service.

Protection of this data. Amazon Bedrock processes your text solely to return the result, under AWS's data processing terms, which bind it to confidentiality and security obligations equivalent to those in this policy. AWS does not store your prompts or use them to improve any model, and your input is never used to train AI models or shared with the model's maker. Processing may occur in AWS regions outside India.

Support drafting. If you contact our support team, an agent may use AI to draft a reply. That draft is written from the support conversation, your first name, and a summary of your own Vaztu activity (your listings, service requests, perks and payment status); your email address and phone number are never included. A person reviews and sends every message — the AI never replies to you directly.

Retention & your rights

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account from the app (Profile → Delete my account), which permanently removes your account, listings, enquiries, saves and reviews — see how to delete your account for the full list, what we must keep, and what to do if you can't sign in.
